Ah, the classic B.L.T., or “Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato” sandwich. If I’m not mistaken, this is basically a variation on the Club Sandwich, and as the name says, it’s built above all on toasted bread with bacon, lettuce and tomato, often dressed with mayonnaise, though there are plenty of variations with more or fewer ingredients, i this case i used whole wheat bread, instead of plain white bread.
I really like a good BLT. I usually go with something close to today’s recipe with extra extra bacon hahahah, or sometimes I chop up onion, tomato, lettuce and bacon into a little salad, mix in a bit of mayo, and stuff it all between two slices of bread, which ends up creamier and messier hehehehe. Let’s get to the recipe! ;D
Classic Crispy Bacon Lettuce & Tomato BLT Sandwich

Gotta love me a blt sandwich, the good thing is that like any sandwich you can always make it your own.
Ingredients
- Bread – 2 Slices (Whole Wheat Bread)
- Lettuce – 1 Leaf
- Tomato – 3 Slices
- Bacon – 3 Slices
- Mayonnaise – 1 Tablespoon
- Pepper – A Pinch
- Salt – A Pinch
Directions
- First, fry the bacon in a pan, no need to add fat.
- While the bacon is frying, toast the bread and cut thin slices of tomato and season the tomato with a pinch of salt.
- Once the bacon is golden brown, season with a pinch of pepper.
- Then assemble the sandwich, start by spreading mayonnaise on both slices of bread, followed by lettuce, tomato, and bacon, and you’re done.
- A BLT sandwich is often cut diagonally to create two triangles, or cut on both diagonals to create four smaller triangles. Enjoy!

This came out delicious even if a bit dry, for me it was fine, but I’ll be honest (whole wheat bread is naturally denser and drier), I’d say butter the outside of the bread, use a softer bread, add more mayo, or serve it with a side sauce to dip and you’ll be all set. Americans love ranch, and ranch would be spot on here.
Let the bacon drain on kitchen paper for a minute before building the sandwich, it keeps things from getting soggy, and patting the tomato slices a bit dry helps keep the bread from turning limp.
If you’re meal prepping, keep the mayo, tomato and bacon separate from the bread until right before eating.
If you do decide to bake the bacon, a good baking temperature would be around 200°C (400°F) for about 15 to 20 minutes, keeping an eye on it toward the end.
