Nothing beats a pan-fried beautiful salmon fillet, simple and delicious. This is honestly one of those recipes that comes together faster than you’d expect, and the result looks and tastes way more impressive than the effort you put in. I seasoned it with a little soy sauce, which gives the salmon this gorgeous, savory crust, and served it alongside a pea and bacon stir fry with some macaroni pasta.
This recipe is also great for the kids! Just flake the salmon, add a drizzle of cream, mix in the pea stir fry and macaroni, and you’ve got a little plate that even the pickiest eater will go for. It’s a quick and easy weeknight win. Let’s check the recipe!
Easy Pan-Fried Salmon with Pea, Bacon, and Macaroni Pasta

Soy-kissed salmon, caramelized onions, crispy bacon, sweet peas, and buttery macaroni, all in one pan. Ready in thirty five minutes, gone in five!
Ingredients
- Salmon – 1 fillet (+/- 150g)
- Peas – 150g
- Bacon – 2 slices
- Onion – 1 small
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Carrot – To taste
- Macaroni Pasta – 150g
- Olive Oil – A drizzle
- Soy Sauce – A drizzle
- Butter – 1 teaspoon
- Pepper – A pinch
- Salt – A pinch
Directions
- Start by seasoning the salmon fillet with a drizzle of soy sauce, set aside.
- In a pot with plenty of hot water and a pinch of salt, add the pasta and cook until tender, then drain and season with a knob of butter.
- In a frying pan, add the julienned onion, carrot, and garlic, along with the chopped bacon and a pinch of salt. Sauté until the onion is well caramelized.
- Then add the peas (I used frozen, but if you have fresh, blanch them for a few minutes in hot water before adding them to the pan), mix, and let the peas cook. Push them aside a little to make room for the salmon. Add the salmon to the pan and fry on all sides.
- Taste the mixture and adjust the salt and pepper.
- When the salmon is golden brown and the mixture is flavorful, you’re ready to serve it with a spoonful of pasta. Enjoy!

If you want a crispier salmon skin, make sure to pat the fillet completely dry before adding it to the pan, sure it will have less soy sauce, but moisture is the enemy of a good sear.
Don’t rush the onion. Letting it caramelize properly is what gives the stir fry that deep, sweet flavor that ties everything together.
Frozen peas work perfectly here and save you a lot of time. No need to overthink it.
Like i said above, for a creamier kids’ version, flake the cooked salmon, add a splash of heavy cream to the pan, and toss everything together with the macaroni. It’s a crowd-pleaser every single time.
