I absolutely love these flaky little treats! First off, you can make them in an instant and whip up a huge batch without any problems and with lots of variations. They’re absolutely delicious, perfect for parties, picnics, appetizers, or just because you’re craving something tasty, hehehe! This is always a great snack that’s incredibly easy to make, and you can always make a ton of them for any occasion.
I usually make these with cheese, but this time I went for a simpler version with just bacon and cocktail sausages, and yes, you can use regular canned sausages, but cocktail sausages are so much cuter hahaha also i dont know about you but i think because cocktail sausages are all from major brands (white labels dont make them), they tend to taste more meatier! I think I already shared another version before, but this one has bacon in it, hehehe! You can pretty much add whatever you like to these babies.
They’re perfect for a light snack, party appetizer, or picnic treat. Add a sauce and it’s basically a light meal! The beauty of this recipe its how easy and versatile, i added sausage but you can easily make it vegetarian (with vegan sausages) you can have half spice and half plain, you can add hard cheeses or soft cheeses, you can make it the way you like it! Let’s get to the recipe!
Easy Bacon and Sausage Puff Pastry Turnovers

This one is barely a recipe, its perfect for people that are not that used to the kitchen, since is mostly an assembly job hehehe, assemble, take to the oven, when the exterior is golden, its done! Its almost full proof and well delicious!!!! ;D
Ingredients
- Cocktail Sausages – 1 Jar (+/- 20 mini sausages)
- Puff Pastry – 1 Roll (+/- 200g)
- Bacon – 100g (Sliced)
- Egg – 1
- Paprika – A Pinch
- Oregano – A Pinch
- Pepper – A Pinch
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 200ºC and line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.
- Roll out the dough and cut it into sections, making 16 triangles. Season the dough with a pinch of paprika, dried oregano, and pepper.
- Place a rectangle of bacon on top of the sausage on the longest part of the triangle and roll it up to create a croissant shape. Repeat until you have no more dough, then place each one on the baking tray.
- Whisk an egg and brush all the mini sausage puff pastry turnovers with it, then bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and that’s it, you can eat them piping hot or let them cool a little. Serve with mustard or garlic mayonnaise. Bon appétit!

Keep the puff pastry cold until you’re ready to use it. If it gets too warm, it becomes harder to work with and won’t puff as nicely.
You can assemble these earlier in the day and refrigerate them before baking. Just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if they’re cold from the fridge.
These freeze beautifully before baking! Assemble them, freeze on a baking sheet, then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake directly from frozen, adding 5-10 minutes to the cooking time.
Feel free to add cheese, spices, herbs, or even a touch of mustard inside before rolling. The beauty of this recipe is its versatility!
Best enjoyed freshly baked, but leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days and reheated in the oven to crisp them up again.
This recipe easily doubles or triples for larger gatherings. One batch makes about 16 pieces, perfect for a small party or family snack.
