I always wonder why people buy those already made sauces, when 90% of them you can make them at home and they will taste 100 times better, for today we have a sweet and spicy garlic mayonnaise, normally I make this when im making some kind of fried fish because i think it complements well.

Also you dont need to make a huge batch, this is so easy you can make it when you want it and with all kinds of sauces, just taste and adjust the recipe to your own taste, lets check the recipe.

Ingredients

  • Mayonnaise – 4 Full Tablespoons
  • Lemon Juice – 1 Teaspoon
  • Garlic – 3 Cloves
  • Chives – To Taste (Chopped)
  • Garlic Powder – 1 Teaspoon

Directions

  1. Start by finely chopping the chives and garlic, you can in alternative just mash the garlic cloves.
  2. Add the mayo, followed by the lemon juice and garlic powder, mix and taste, adjust as needed.
  3. Finally serve with a pinch of chopped chives on top.
Notes: I used chives this time, but you can easily use parsley or coriander. You can also add a bit of chilly powder or black pepper to give it a nice spice.

If you want an extra eggy and spicy try and get some Japanese Kewpie mayo, this uses rice wine vinegar and just egg yolks so it is a little bit richer with a hint of spicy bitterness that sometimes is really delicious ;D
