Roasted sweet potatoes fries are a delicious and simple side dish or snack with a nice sauce to dip.

Ingredients

  • Sweet Potatoes – 3 large
  • Oregano – A pinch
  • Paprika – A pinch
  • Olive Oil – A few drizzles
  • Pepper – A pinch
  • Salt – A pinch

Directions

  1. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into thick sticks (too thin sticks will cook too quickly and the sweet potatoes will have a different texture), put them in a bowl and cover with water.
  2. Heat the oven to 180ºC and prepare a baking tray lined with non-stick paper.
  3. Remove the potatoes from the water and dry them on a cloth or non-stick paper, placed them in the baking tray.
  4. Season with a few drizzles of olive oil, dried oregano, paprika, salt and pepper, toss them and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until they are golden and creamy.
  5. Remove from the oven and you’re ready to serve, bon appetit and enjoy!
Notes: If you want to bake a whole sweet potatoes with skin, make sure to pierce it with a fork to allow for steam to release.
