Happy Easter! I had already made a recipe for chocolate salame shaped into little eggs, but honestly? I wasn’t totally satisfied with how they turned out. The little chunks of cookie in the dough were making it harder to mold everything into a nice, clean egg shape, so naturally the solution was obvious… well crush the cookies into a fine powder and try again! And here we are, the second attempt, hahaha, let’s go!
This variation of a chocolate salame is not only absolutely delicious, but super easy to make. And the best part? Once you get the chocolate salame base ready, you can totally get the kids in on the fun and have them shape their very own chocolate salame Easter eggs. Honestly, way better than buying the already made ones ;D Well there’s something really special about biting into something you put together yourself, and with a recipe this simple, there’s really no excuse not to give it a shot hehehehe
And the results speak for themselves: a smooth, moldable dough that shapes beautifully into little Easter eggs, rich with deep chocolate flavor and that satisfying texture from the finely crushed Maria cookies. It’s the kind of recipe that looks way more impressive than the effort it actually takes, which is, without a doubt, my absolute favorite kind of recipe, hahaha! Let’s get to it!
No-Bake Easy Homemade Chocolate Salame Easter Eggs

No oven, no fuss, just chocolate, cookies, and your hands ready to get a little messy. The perfect Easter treat for when you want something homemade, delicious, and honestly a little dangerous (for all the tummies) to have around the house ;D
Ingredients
- Cooking Chocolate – 110g
- Maria Cookies – 200g
- Butter – 80g
- Sugar – 60g
- Egg – 1
Directions
- Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler. To make a double boiler, add a large saucepan with a little water to the heat, and place another smaller saucepan inside it. Place the chocolate and butter inside the smaller saucepan.
- In a bowl, add the sugar and egg and whisk well until creamy.
- Separately, crush the Maria biscuits into powder.
- Once the chocolate is melted, add it to the sugar and egg mixture, stirring constantly to avoid cooking the eggs. Mix well.
- Finally, add the crushed biscuits and form a ball of dough.
- Take pieces of the dough and shape them into eggs. Repeat until you have no more dough. And that’s it, ready to serve! Happy Easter!

If you are in a hurry, after shaping your eggs, you pop them in the refrigerator for at least 30 to 60 minutes before serving. The cold helps them firm up nicely and hold their shape, especially if your kitchen is warm.
Want to make them a little more festive? Once the eggs are shaped and slightly chilled, you can roll them in cocoa powder, powdered sugar, shredded coconut, or even colorful sprinkles. A little white chocolate drizzle on top goes a long way too!
If your dough feels too sticky to shape, just let it rest in the fridge for about 15 minutes before working with it again. It makes a world of difference.
This recipe makes a generous batch, so it’s perfect for sharing at Easter gatherings, gifting to friends and family, or, you know, keeping them all to yourself, no judgment here ;D
