Homemade Sour Cream Cucumber Salad • German Gurkensalat

Try this delicious refreshing salad of thinly sliced cucumber seasoned with sour cream and dill.
Ingredients
- Cucumber – 1
- Sour Cream – 200gr
- Onion – 1 Small
- Garlic – 3 cloves
- Dill – 2 Tablespoons (Fresh Dill)
- Coriander – A pinch (Optional)
- Pepper – A pinch
- Salt – A pinch
Directions
- Start by chopping the garlic cloves and slicing the cucumber and onion very thinly, preferably using a mandoline so you can slice them finely. Pour everything into a bowl, season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Now add the finely chopped fresh dill and a pinch of chopped coriander to the sour cream and mix well.
- Add the sour cream mixture to the cucumbers, mix everything well and it’s ready to serve. You can also store it in the fridge overnight and that’s it, bon appetit!




This is great as a sandwich but it’s also good as a base for a sandwich, especially if the other ingredients are more salty or greasy, so it makes a nice cooling contrast.
