Sweet Crumble Apple Tartlets

These sweet crumble apple tartlets are a great way to indulge in the flavors of autumn. They are easy to make, with a few simple ingredients, and are a great dessert to bring to any holiday gathering.
Ingredients
- Puff Pastry – 1 Roll (+/- 200gr)
- Apples – 5
- Lime – 1 (Juice)
- Butter – 2 tbsp
- Brown Sugar – 1 tbsp
- Balsamic Vinegar – 1 tsp (Or More Lime Juice)
- Cinnamon – 1 tsp
- Pumpkin Spice – 1/2 tsp
- Butter – 100gr
- Flour – 80gr
- Sugar – 80gr
Directions
- Start by peeling and dicing the apples into small cubes, adding the juice of a whole lime so the apple doesn’t oxidize.
- Place the diced apples in a pan with two tablespoons of butter, one tablespoon of brown sugar, one teaspoon of cinnamon, and half a teaspoon of pumpkin spice, and cook until the apples are tender.
- When the apples are very tender and starting to caramelize, add a little balsamic vinegar, mix and remove from the heat.
- For the crumble, mix in a bowl 100gr of butter, 80gr of flour and 80gr of sugar, mix everything with your fingers until you create a sand texture.
- Preheat oven to 200ºC/390ºF/gas 6 (or what the puff pastry package recommends) and line 12 muffin tins with non-stick paper or if you don’t have with some butter or oil.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut out circles of dough with a baking pan or cup and add a disk of dough to the bottom of each muffin pan.
- Then fill each muffin tin with the caramelized apples.
- Followed by a bit of the crumble on top of each one.
- Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until the bottoms are toasted and the tops are golden brown, enjoy!
