Mascarpone cheese cupcakes can be an absolutely delicious dessert! Mascarpone is a creamy and slightly sweet Italian cheese that’s similar to cream cheese and ricotta cheese, but with a softer texture and a milder flavor. When used in cupcakes, mascarpone can add richness and creaminess to the batter, resulting in a more moist, creamy and tender crumb.
Lots of times you add milk, cream, butter to a cake to add creaminess or fat, but cheese is also a great option, especially spreadable cheeses, these add flavor and richness to the batter that can elevate the overall taste of the cupcakes as well as added moistness and in some ways give more body to the cake, so the cake will be a bit denser and will bake better.
