Mascarpone Cheese Cupcakes

Mascarpone cheese cupcakes can be an absolutely delicious dessert! Mascarpone is a creamy and slightly sweet Italian cheese that’s similar to cream cheese and ricotta cheese, but with a softer texture and a milder flavor. When used in cupcakes, mascarpone can add richness and creaminess to the batter, resulting in a more moist, creamy and tender crumb.

Lots of times you add milk, cream, butter to a cake to add creaminess or fat, but cheese is also a great option, especially spreadable cheeses, these add flavor and richness to the batter that can elevate the overall taste of the cupcakes as well as added moistness and in some ways give more body to the cake, so the cake will be a bit denser and will bake better.

So here is a pretty nice recipe for some delicious mascarpone cheese cupcakes, this recipe is an original! Yay! So if you try it at home, come here and share how it came out and if the recipe is perfect or if

These Mascarpone cheese cupcakes can be a delicious and ....sophisticated? dessert that's sure to impress.

  • Mascarpone Cheese – 250gr
  • Butter – 50gr (room temperature)
  • Sugar – 150g
  • Vanilla – 1 teaspoon (extract)
  • Flour – 100g
  • Eggs – 3
  • Cream – 100ml
  • Almonds – 12 (Peeled, 1 for each cupcake)

  1. Start by preheating the oven to 180 °C and line 12 muffin tins/forms with non-stick paper.
  2. In a bowl, add the room temperature butter and mascarpone cheese, whisk well until creamy.
  3. Then add the sugar, the vanilla extract, and the flour, whisk a bit more.
  4. Add the eggs one by one, whisking well between each addition.
  5. Finally, add the mascarpone cheese and whisk again until you get a creamy batter. Pour the batter into each mold, and put an almond on top of each cupcake.
  6. Bring them to the oven for 20 to 25 minutes until they are golden brown and baked, and that’s it, enjoy!
Notes: Like all cupcakes you can pair with other flavors or toppings, such as fruits, berries, jams, chocolate chips or just plain powdered sugar, I kinda like it more rustic, so I normally don’t add many toppings unless I’m baking for a party or kids.
